Odorgard™ & Hydecat™

Odorgard™

Odorgard™ is a single-stage chemical scrubbing process developed by Johnson Matthey for the treatment of malodorous compounds and low-level volatile organic compounds (VOCs), typically using sodium hypochlorite as the oxidant.

ERG Hygrade fabricates the core Odorgard™ vessels and internals, engineered to support effective gas–liquid contact while providing long-term corrosion resistance, structural integrity and ease of integration into client-defined treatment systems.

Fabricated units may be supplied for new plant installations or retrofit applications, where a compact, robust vessel is required to house the licensed process equipment.

Hydecat™

Hydecat™ is a catalytic fixed-bed process developed by Johnson Matthey for the controlled destruction of sodium hypochlorite, utilising a nickel-based catalyst to convert residual oxidant into harmless brine and oxygen.

ERG Hygrade manufactures Hydecat™ reactor vessels to licensed specifications, using corrosion-resistant materials and precision-engineered geometry to ensure correct flow distribution, catalyst containment and mechanical reliability.

Hydecat™ vessels fabricated by ERG Hygrade are used in applications where robust construction, accurate dimensional control and long service life are critical to safe and compliant operation.
